Heather Greenhalgh-Spencer, a professor and associate dean from Texas Tech University, presented her candidacy to lead the University of Kansas School of Education & Human Sciences in a public forum on March 9. As the second of four finalists, she shared her strategic priorities for the school’s trajectory.
In her presentation, Greenhalgh-Spencer emphasized a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, aiming to strengthen ties between the school’s education programs and its human sciences departments. The public forum allowed university community members to pose questions directly to the candidate regarding her approach to leadership and academic growth.
The search committee is conducting final interviews with the remaining candidates. Feedback from these public sessions will be considered before a final recommendation is made to the university’s senior administration.
