Connecticut students now have a new way to check out their options after high school. The state Office of Higher Education has rolled out an online credential registry. This tool lists more than 4,200 programs that are authorized to operate in the state. The goal is simple: give students a clear picture of what is legit before they commit time and money.

The registry covers a wide range of options. That includes two-year and four-year degrees, plus shorter certificate programs. It also lists trade and technical schools. Students can search by field of study, type of credential, or the school itself. The information comes straight from state records, so it shows which programs are currently approved.
