CANTON, Mo. — This summer, elementary students at Canton R-V have been immersed in hands-on agricultural lessons as part of their enrichment programming. The school has collaborated with Missouri Farmers Care’s Agriculture Education on the Move™ (Ag Moves) initiative to deliver a series of ten foundational lessons focused on various agriculture topics.
Through engaging activities, students have learned essential concepts about where their food originates and the critical role of farms in providing not only food but also various products used in everyday life. The program aims to foster a deeper understanding of agriculture among young learners, highlighting its importance in the community and beyond.
As students participate in these interactive lessons, they are encouraged to explore the connections between agriculture and their daily lives. This initiative not only equips them with valuable knowledge but also inspires a new generation to appreciate and consider careers in the agricultural sector. The impact of such educational programs is expected to resonate well into the future for these young minds.
