NDSCS and VCSU Sign Career & Tech Ed Articulation Agreement

Valley City State University and the North Dakota State College of Science have formalized a new partnership aimed at making it easier for students to continue their education. The two institutions recently signed an articulation agreement focused on Career and Technical Education, creating a more direct route for students who want to earn a four-year degree after completing their technical training.

The agreement was finalized during a meeting between VCSU Interim President Allen Burgad, NDSCS Interim President Lisa Karch, and NDSCS Vice President for Academic Affairs William Fanning. The collaboration is designed to ensure that credits earned at NDSCS in career and technical programs will transfer smoothly to VCSU, reducing the time and cost required to complete a bachelor's degree.

This move is seen as a win for students who might otherwise face barriers when moving from a two-year technical program to a university setting. By aligning the curriculum and removing redundant coursework, the schools hope to encourage more students to pursue advanced education in their chosen fields.
