Kentucky Education Department Introduces Local Accountability Toolkit for Superintendents

(FRANKFORT, KY) – During a recent Superintendents Webcast held on September 9, staff from the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) introduced an innovative Local Accountability Toolkit designed to assist school districts in enhancing their accountability measures.
Sarah Snipes, the director of KDE’s Division of Innovation, led the presentation, outlining the features and benefits of the new toolkit. This resource aims to empower local districts by providing them with the necessary tools to monitor and assess their educational performance effectively. The toolkit includes a variety of resources, including guidelines, templates, and best practices tailored for local accountability initiatives.
KDE officials emphasized that the toolkit is a response to the evolving educational landscape and the need for more localized accountability systems. By equipping superintendents with these resources, KDE aims to foster a culture of continuous improvement in Kentucky's schools, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education.
